So I went to see Wimbledon the other night, because for some reason I felt like torturing myself. Nonetheless, it was a cute movie.
But even cuter was when I was telling people that I had gone to see it, and their response was, "Wimbledon..hmm that's strange, so, is that like, the dude's last name?"
No joke. Not even kidding.
So anyhow, in other news... I got my computer back! Yay! After dropping it off on August 9th, my computer returned to me safely on September 15th. And for only $400. Wohoo!
One small problem... it's still BROKEN!
Oh yeah, not happy about this one. So I took the computer in BACK IN AUGUST, because there was major static/feedback/whatever and you couldn't hear anything, it wouldn't play music, dvd's or any other "thing" that involved sound. Now, after over a month of waiting/suffering/gnashing my teeth, i receive the computer, and lo and behold! there is no static, oh no...now there is no sound AT ALL! What did I pay these people for? I could have unplugged the speakers if I had wanted no sound! Geez! people these days. They put in a new motherboard, and I really don't knwo why they did this.. you would think that if they were going to go to all that trouble, that they would at least be sure to make sure that it had sound!
The worst part is that they aren't going to do anything about it. They suggested that I reinstall Windows XP, but I don't have the CD, which would mean that I would have to go buy one, and that I would have to back up my entire computer before attempting to fix things MYSELF! Shouldn't they have tested this out first? Did I mention that I paid $400 for NOTHING?Goodness. They finally agreed to install the software for me for free if I went out and bought it.. but that's just ridiculous! I know how to install software, and that's not the point. The point is.. THEY DIDN"T DO ANYTHING AND I PAID $400! AHHHHHHHHH
I HATE COMPUTERS.
AND I REALLY DON"T LIKE COMPUTER PEOPLE RIGHT NOW!
AamComp... YOU'RE GOING DOWN!
“I have come to believe that by and large the human family all has the same secrets, which are both very telling and very important to tell. They are telling in the sense that they tell what is perhaps the central paradox of our condition - that what we hunger for perhaps more than anything else is to be known in our full humanness, and yet that is often just what we also fear more than anything else.” - Frederick Buechner

Religiously Speaking...
Last week during one of our Convocation hours, I had the priviledge of hearing Kevin Twit's (our campus RUF pastor) discourse on Theology and Pop culture. Unfortunately, having arrived late, I got to enjoy the lecture from the hallway. Despite the occasional missed word or two I left the session feeling oddly stimulated.
Now let me just take a moment to confess that I have always been a believer in the idea that Christians all too often segregate themselves, and this, in my opinion, was never God's intention. Disagree? Take a look at John 17:15. Call me crazy, but I have a feeling that God might be pro-integration.
Now don't get me wrong, I'm not knocking faith-based organizations or anything, I myself support several. But the idea of a "Christian Industry" or a "Christian Market" baffles me! I might be wrong (and I'm sure someone will let me know if I am) but I always assumed that industry is industry. Seriously, what's next? Christian fast food? Christian Roller Skating Rinks?
I will admit that part of the problem is that today's society is too quick to "label" things, be they people, ideas, or Fortune 500 companies. For example, if a large corporation had a brass that consisted entirely of Christian individuals, it would quickly become identified as a "Christian Company;" and sadly, in this day in age, it would probably be pigeon-holed as a conservative corporation too!
Think about it. Do we really need "Christian Bookstores?" Are Christian books and music too good to be sold in normal bookstores when the only thing that separates them from everything else is content? I've yet to see a chain of rap music stores.
Sadly, all too often it seems as though it is Christians who are stereotyping themselves! I have heard of Christians who have opened a "Christian Coffee House" and consider themselves to be part of the "Christian Market." But I have never heard of a group of Satanists who have opened a "Hell's Brewery" and go around advertising their business as part of the "Satanist Industy."
All of this in mind, I can't help but imagine what could be accomplished if Christians would stop relying on the false safety net of "Christian Industry." Just think, Jesus came to earth in human form, he walked around as one of us for 33 years! He didn't hide out in synagogues or open up his own little "Christian Carpentry Store." No, he went places very few others would go, he associated with the "unclean." I honestly believe that if Jesus came down for a visit today, we would be more likely to find Him hanging out in Greenwich village than in a LifeWay bookstore. But that's just me...
As Christians God has called us to be IN the world, but not of it. He did not call us to be out of the world, nor did he suggest that we attempt to create our own "Christian utopia." Therefore, as Christians we have the responsibility to transform the world from the inside out by sharing our LIVES with people... not our savvy business sense. We were called to serve others, and let's be honest. By segregating ourselves and refusing to join the rest of society, who are we serving? Ourselves... or others?

Generally it's not making the right decision that is difficult, it's learning how to handle the consequences of doing the right thing that's painful.

It's that time again!!
Yes folks, that's right, it's senioritis time! And this time, I've got it BAD! Seriously, I am COMPLETELY unmotivated! Too bad I'm only a junior and this is only the 2nd full week of school!! Geez!
I have been sick all weekend. Yuck! Of course, if I didn't stay out all night like I did Saturday, I might have gotten better quicker.
Recently I began to notice that I have turned into the "Rule Nazi." Sure, it's part of being an RA.. but still! I'm beginning to make enemies! This is not good! Did I mention that this is only the 2nd full week of school?
Oh, and for the record... if you call me after midnight on a school night because you locked yourself out of your apartment, I will probably be nice to you and tell you that it's no big deal.. but NEWS FLASH! I'm just being NICE! It IS a big deal! I was sleeping and I am sick, HELLO! Get a clue. And YES, you will be charged $5. End of story.
I've been thinking more and more about how I want to see the world and do everything before I die... and well, I came to a conclusion. Anyone who knows me knows that I don't want to live to be old. (gross!) SO, since a 1/4 of my life is already over, I've got to get BUSY! I'm running out of time! Here I am wasting away in college, when all I really want to do is go to Africa and China and Israel and Fiji and Cambodia and Cuba and Haiti and Japan and everywhere else. Sigh... there just simply isn't enough time. Story of my life.
As I was thinking about how I want to go to every 3rd world country, I was reminded of my sickness and how awful it has been for me lying around half-dead in my air conditioned apartment with pure (if you can call Nashville water pure) water and a working toilet.. and I thought to myself... "gee, I'm gonna have to toughen up if I ever wanna make it to Peace Corps."
Ahh.. somedays the thought of becoming a rock star seems so much easier. But then again, I'm not sure if I have the stomach for that yet either... =)
I came across an interesting situation this past Sunday... After staying out quite late on Saturday night, and waking up feeling quite ill on Sunday morning, I still managed to pull myslef together and make it to church. Yay! Sunday School and all! (granted, I ended up leaving after SS, but that's not the point) So there I am, half-dead, sitting in Sunday School with a room full of Trevecca kids who barely know me. Suddenly I look down, and what is that on my hands? Yup, that's right. 2 big black x's, one for each, left and right. As anyone who has ever lived in a city would know, this sign meant 1 thing: Someone underage went out last night. Granted, it's really no big deal, I mean, it's not illegal or anything but at the same time I felt as though everyone was staring at me and my big black faded X's that just wouldn't come off!! Let me just tell you, Hester Prynne had nothing on me. Then, sure enough someone had the audacity to ask me where I went! So I answer, feeling as though I had to explain, and the girl next to her says.. "oh it's a dancing place, hehe, we're telling"
WHAT? WHAT?
Yes, that's exactly what I was thinking!

Randomness.. what else?
Wow. It has been such a busy 2 weeks... it's really ridiculous. My computer STILL isn't fixed, and at this point I'm looking into buying a new one rather than paying the $600+ for a motherboard plus $73 an hour that it will cost me to get my old one fixed. It's either iBook or Dell at this point. Sigh, why is it that everytime I actually have money, something breaks? I just fixed my car too, now it's as though I didn't work at all this summer! Just think, all that sufferring for nothing! How depressing.
On another note, things have been going well for me thus far. For the first time in a long time, I feel happy. I can't really explain it, I'm just content I guess. (and no, I'm not dating.. so that's not it)
... But speaking of dating.... Since we last spoke, Celesta and Megan got engaged (not to each other). Ashley and Jordan cancelled their wedding, and Katie&Josh tied the knot. (just to fill you in) Right now I am satisfied with my "single" status (even though 5 out of 7 of the RA's in my complex are dating/engaged).. that's not to say that I would object to any interruption of my life, but at the same time I've come to accept the fact that I am just too unique (aka: weird). I mean look at me! I'm all over the place. I want to travel to places like Haiti and Cambodia, I want to join the Peace Corp, I want to work for Disney, I want to be on Broadway, I want to sell art.. in short, I want too many things! And they aren't even normal things.. and I have to be with someone who can handle that, and my experience has told me that this leaves me with a very, very small pile to choose from! I'm not saying that there isn't someone out there for me... there could be, but I'm not about to disillusion myself into thinking that I'll meet them anytime soon..as much as I would like to. Sometimes I wonder if my "standards" are too high, but when I really think about it, I know that they aren't. In all honesty they're just practical. (for a more detailed list see me) Anyhow, long story short... right now, I'm ok with whatever, and I think that's a good place to be. I highly recommend it to all of you.
Wow.. That was soapbox 2135 ladies and gentlemen....MOVING ON....
RAing is fun, but completly PSYCHO! People are so retarded.. I'm not even kidding. It looks as though I'll be posting a list of "Retarded Things College Students Say/Ask/Do/Attempt to Do.." soon. No joke.
Well, I guess that's it for now... Until next time...

And the adventures continue...
So, just in case anyone was wondering, it IS possible to go to the movies alone. I succeeded in doing so last night. I even went out to dinner BY MYSELF.... granted, it was not so fun, but I managed nonetheless. (is nonetheless one word? I really don't know..)
Anyhow, last night I went to Cheeseburger Charley's and then to the movies to see Napoleon Dynamite. Ok, first things first... I was somewhat disappointed, because there has been SO much hype over this movie, and while parts of it cracked me up, (I think I dated that guy in high school... GEEZ!) I left feeling as though it was a tad bit over-rated. Or maybe not...anyways go see the movie for yourself, it's funny...
So as I mentioned, I went alone. I've always wanted to try it, thinking that if I could manage doing such a social thing as going to the movies all by my lonesome, then maybe it would mean that I could handle living alone the rest of my life. Well... to put it bluntly, my experience proved nothing of the sort. I mean, I did it, but I felt like an idiot the entire time! Just picture it.. you're sitting in a theatre with your date and friends, and in walks this girl (GORGEOUS, I might add =) all by herself.. so you're thinking, "What's wrong with her? Is her date in the bathroom? Does she have no friends? How can this be?" So the girl, frantically attempting (and failing) to look confident and assured, decides to sit in the back row (because no one is up there yet and perhaps no one will notice that she has no one comming to join her... NO ONE!). So there we are, sitting, waiting for the movie to start... but meanwhile more people keep comming in, faster and faster, flocks of them! Geez you would think that movies werte no longer $8 or something! So there she is, the girl all alone in the backrow, thinking, surely that with this many people, someone would come up to the top. But alas, no, it isn't so (no rhyme intended) the people only gaze up to the top to see her in all her lonely glory and then turn around to sit in the 18 crowded rows below. This leaves the girl wondering.. is there some odd smell radiating around her, does she have STD written on her forehead or something?? We may never know. Needless to say, the movie came and went, and only 1 poor soul inhabited the backrow.

It's been a while...
Aloha friends! Indeed it has been a while, but I have been SOOO busy it's ridiculous! First I had family visiting, then I had Katie's wedding, then I moved in here at school to start leadership/RA training.
Katie's wedding was beautiful, she looked gorgeous, and I cried, but not that much. Immediately following the wedding I headed out to Nashville, where on the way we got stuck in traffic in Memphis for an hour and a half at 1:30 in the morning... they had actually closed the I-40 bridge.. ridiculous..
Anyhow, this past week has been SO MUCH FUN! I really like my RA staff, and training has been cool.. I had no idea how much fun this all would be....
To be continued...

A Dissertation over current "Fine Dining" Myths, and the rules that should as such be applied...
1.Many guests fall for the misconception that Servers (aka: waiters and waitresses) actually enjoy their jobs. Newsflash!! This could not be further from the truth..Think about it. Would you enjoy waiting on people hand and foot for 8 hours (or more!) a day all while earning a lousy $2.13 an hour? I don't think so. I hate to break it to you....We aren't in the business because we enjoy waiting on people, that's just the way it is.
2. A $2 tip on a $20 tab might have been great back in 1963.... but in 2004 it is an insult! believe it or not, inflation actually effects the waiters and waitresses across the country, and if you think that you're $2 is going to get our rent paid on time... think again.
3. As previously stated.. 10% is awful and should only be utilized in dire situations.. therefore, to not tip at all is DREADFUL! SHAME ON YOU!!
4.To not finish paying for your meal is illegal. I'm not joking, who do you think pays for that? The company?? Oh no no, think again... it's your humble waitstaff, and if you dare try it, you'd better pray you never run into them again. (And that they don't get your license plate #.. because the cops will arrest you... no joke.)
Sorry.
6. Some people think it's humorous to make piles of sugar and salt on the table along with other condiments. Sorry, but this is far from funny... 80% of the time the servers clean the tables and 100% of the time it is the server who restocks everything on the table after every shift.. including salt and pepper.
7.If you are a camel (aka: one of those weird people who drinks about 3 glasses of fluid every 10 minutes...) please, be patient, we actually have other work to do besides filling up your glass constantly. There is no need to be rude. There is no need to clear your throat when we pass, to jiggle your ice around constantly, to flag us down every 3 minutes... trust me, we've noticed.. and we're probably whining about you back in the kitchen...
8.If the restaraunt offers comment cards, do not assume that a nice comment card will make up for an inefficient tip... we know this trick! Will your nice comment card put gas in our cars? I think not.
9. Coffee should never be ordered in Oklahoma in July.
10. Just to warn you, it really sends mixed messages when we see you pray before your meal, and then accept your tract and 5% tip once you've left.
11. Children are great. Messy children are not. Nor are loud uncontrollable children... manners are a good thing.
12.I find it amusing that people ask us how our days are. Do you think we're going to answer you honestly? hello! We're at work, serving food and clearing dishes for $2.13 an hour, on our feet for 6-8 hours at a time.. how do you think we're doing?
13. On that same point... why bother asking us if the food's good? What do you expect us to say? "Oh that, yeah it's totally gross.. in fact, in my opnion most of the food here is sub par, but if you run down the street to "such and such a place" I think you'll find what you're looking for."
14. Just because we work at a place does not mean that we have eaten everything on the menu or that we have memorized every brand of liquor and every bar drink we serve... we don't mind questions, but please don't be offended that we don't know everything.
15. Coming in 5 minutes before opening or 10 minutes to close is just not cool. Imagine if you were about to leave the office when your boss comes in with an unexpected business meeting in which you are forced to attend... you'd not be happy now would you?
16.Just because there is no one at the front door, do not assume that you can walk in and pick a spot.. it's not McDonald'd.. never seat yourself.
Oh I could go on and on... but it's late, and I've said the most important things... so for now... Good night!
Soon to come...
After reading "Black Like Me" I have a feeling that I'll have a post up over the hip hop movement and how it seems to be (proudly) rebuilding all of the stereotypes that racial movements in the 60's where so ashamed of.. the stereotypes that were false and people like MLK tried so hard to break down.......

Aloha...
So... Hawaii was B-E-A-UTIFUL! (of course). I went surfing, snorkeling, boogie-boarding, sunburning, and all that jazz.. We also hiked a lot. On one trip we got to kayak through the Wiamea River, then hike through the rainforest to a secluded 125 ft water fall where we got to swim and walk behind it all while fearing that a giant bass would fall on your head! Too cool.
Amy how are you??? I miss you! Call Josh! Josh, if you read this, call Amy!
Julie, did you get my message?

You can't go home again...
I'm beginning to believe that the saying is true, "You can't go home again." Or perhaps you can. But perspective can be a dnagerous thing, and despite how some things will always be the same, it is inevitable that everything changes, even if it is yourself or your way of thinking.
A year ago today I was on a plane crossing the Atlantic ocean. I spent the summer painting a German subway car, singing/playing the guitar 24/7, and making some of the best friends I will ever come to know.
I miss them. I will never forget singing "Great is thy Faithfulness" and seeing Deiter in church, or the day Ballo showed up, or all of the nights I sat and talked with Tanja.
I just can't say it enough. Youth In Mission ruined my life. I would give anything to be there now, not just Germany, but anywhere. Anywhere but here. Tolkein was right, "How do you pick up the threads of an old life? How do you go on... when in your heart... you begin to understand... there is no going back? There are some things that time cannot mend. Some hurts that go too deep... that have taken hold."

So who's suprised?

Muggle PM: As the Muggle Prime Minister Tony Blair, you are intelligent, brave, have a deep consideration for moral issues, and obviously not lacking in leadership skills. You are turned to for advice from others, and your general respectability allows you to become the dominant of a group. However, your responsiblity of keeping all your peers happy means that some of your actions are based on their needs, rather than what you stand for.
Gryffindor: Being in the Gryffindor house, you are likely to be conscientious, brave and have good leadership skills. However your intelligence may rival that of a Ravenclaw.

Expecto Patronum!!!
So, I went to see Harry Potter at the midnight premeire because I love it and if that makes me a dork then fine! I've been thinking about what I wanted to say about the film for a while so I'll do my review here in a few moments. *Please note: If you have yet to see the movie you may not want to continue reading... I will warn you once I begin the review, but for now I would like to touch on how cool it was to be there opening night. There were Harry Potter fans everywhere! 4 theatres full in fact, and of all ages too! And people were dressed up and there were costume contests in each theater and they did Harry Potter trivia. We did the wave, people started chanting... it was insane. I had my hair done Hermione style and I had my "wand" and Julie and I made S.P.E.W. shirts. It was so fun. I can't wait for the next one!!
Oh, and Amy.. you're leaving me?!?! I must be retarded cause I can't get your comment section to work. Our internet is still out (i'm at school)so that's why I havnen't been in touch! Call me! I got so sad this morning because guess what I found in my closet?? My "TAKE ME TO PROM SHIRT!!" =) Oh and I work with a guy named Edwin who always hung out with dam Taylor and that crowd.. do you remember him?
NOW FOR THE REVIEW... LEAVE NOW OR HAVE YOUR OPINION TAINTED!!
Ok.. so on to the movie itself. here's what I think... It was a great film. Yes, that's right, film... not movie. I really liked the directors style and I enjoyed how this film matured beyond movie status. However, it is a "series" of books/movies I do fear that this fact was ignored a bit throughout the film. Here's why:
1.You don't just go moving scenery! We are used to seeing Hagid's Hut in the same place, to us the Hogwart's grounds looks a certain way, if you change it, we're going to notice! (now I will note that I liked how they did it,i mean, it looked good and all, but it took a few scenes to get used to.)
2. People have been up in arms all worried that the actors will age too fast to finish the series when in fact, they are all the same age as the characters Ex: Daniel Radcliff (aka:harry potter) just turned 14 and he is currently filming book 4, in which Harry turns 14. Now... with all of this said, I am suprised that with people so worried that they woul choose to make the actors look so much older in this film. They looked good, but they definitely didn't look 13 either.
3. (and this is my biggest complaint) They left so much out! =( Now I realize that they needed to get rid of some stuff, but the film was barely 2 1/2 hours! That's not long! And some of the stuff they chose to leave out would've taken seconds to ut in... For example: I cannot blieve that they never had Lupin explain who Prongs, Padfoot, Moony, and Wormtail were!!! HELLO!! THat's one of the biggest parts of the book, where Harry finds out that his Patronus was the form his father always took!! HOW could they leave that out?? I can just see the confused movie goers (who have yet to read the book) leaving the theatre wondering what that big deer thing was that came out of Harry's wand at the end! They even left Harry not knowing that Lupin was a Maurauder's Map Creator! Good grief, yes this was the most dissappointing part! In addition, the left out all of the Diagon Alley opening stuff, we never saw the big fued beteen Ron and Hermione, there was NOTHING about the Quidditch Cup!!! BAH! They didn't even show Sanpe making potion for Lupin all the time. They left out the Christmas scene and over 1/2 of the Prof. Trelawney stuff. They only showed 1 Hogsmead trip, and they never showed the 2nd time Sirius Black broke in, Harry never had his end of the year conversation with Dumbledore (one of my favortie parts of book 3), and we never see Snape or Fudge livid over the fact that Black has escaped.. in fact we never see anyone react over the fact that Black is suddenly gone... and...
4. Harry get's the Firebolt at the end of the movie?? Huh? This would not have bothered me so much, except that the ending shot was WAYYY to cheesy and I did't think that it fit with the rest of the film
5. To be specific, we never see Harry cry until the end of book 5.. I'm glad they had him show more emotion his time around... but still. And since when does Malfoy ever cry????
6. I liked all the added scenes with Lupin, but I missed all of the other supporting actors in this film. I felt like I never saw Snape, or anyone else very often, or at all!
7. The new Dumbledore. Gee I miss Richard! He was so great! But it wasn't his fault that he had to die, and I thought that the new Dumbledore was alright, and that he played him more along the lines of how JKRowling wrote him to be. We didn't see much of him, but I think that was a good move on the directors part. You don't want to force him on us too early...let us get used to him.
I could go on, I've heard people complain about a lot of it, and i don't want to be that way since I really and truly, I loved it!! I just worry that with all of these changes in directors, the movies will become their own entities entirely. I agree that to some degree they should be able to stand on their own, but I think the directors first objective should be to be true to the book and fluent with the story. As for the other details such as the change in robe design.. they're not that big of a deal.
I loved the dementor scenes, esecially the one on the train! Wow! Well done. I liked how we see more emotion and less action. We see Harry angry, we see him fooling around with his friends...etc. He becomes more realistic this time around and I like that. I enjoyed watching the aunt blow up and I thought that the Knight Bus scene was fun too.
Overall I loved the film. (of course I would! it would have to be pretty bad for me not too..) I just wish that they would have made it longer. It felt much too rushed. And to jeaprodize content and story line for a shorter film should be punishable by death! (Or something like that.)
oh well... that's my opinion, for what it's worth! Tell me yours!

And so it begins...
So I've been home for about 3 days now and thankfully the initial boredom has worn off. Yesterday I got a job, applied for my liquor license, went to see Troy and managed to run into my ex boyfriend whom I haven't seen in over a year and a half. Needless to say, I was productive.
So I'll be waiting tables at Trapper's this summer, and I hope that doesn't turn out to be a bad thing. They actually hired me on the spot, and I start orientation tomorrow morning bright and early at 9am. Wohoo.
My school bill for the summer is less than $750. I cannot believe this. I'm taking 3 classes, a total of 8 hours for $747.10. Unbelievable. I couldn't even get 2 hours with that at Belmont... crazy.
Troy was a good movie. Very hot. Yes, very hot.
The old boyfriend situation was not as bad as it could have been, but a tad bit awkward nonetheless. Especially after I left and realized that I had my "engagement ring" on... I have a feeling I'll have to explain that one eventually... oh well.

Another year, gone.
And yet another year leaves me speechless. I suppose the more I think of it, that's how it really should be. So many things to say, and yet no way to say them. I remember the end of last year... so many things in limbo, the future unknown.. and yet, it was as though I knew that chapter of my life was finished. This year leaves me in a completely different state, feeling as though this is ending is only the beginning.
So what can I say about it, my first year at Belmont? Looking back at one of hardest/easiest decisions I have ever made, I can honestly say that I made the right choice.
It's been a good year. It's been a great year! Of course I have some regrets, I've done things I never thought I would (both good and bad)and I can't believe how much I have learned and experienced. I've been to more shows in this 1 year than most people go to their whole lives. I've seen my fair share of famous people, I've gone to amazing art exhibits, the Nashville Film festival, and the Flameworthy Awards, I've worked the Nashville New Music Conference, and I've eaten out more than I ever have in my entire life! I've discovered some amazing music, and I've made some amazing music of my own. I went to a midnight showing of the Rocky Horror Picture Show, I've seen a handful of foreign/independent films and I've walked Music Row my fair share of times. I found a church that I LOVE and some of the best friends I will ever have. If that's not living, then I don't know what is.
I can't believe that this year is already over, and that I'm half-way through with my college career. It's scary really, thinking about the fact that in 2 years I won't have a fall semester to register for. In 2 years I'll have even more bills to pay. In 2 years I will get a wake-up call from Sallie Mae... But more importantly, in 2 years this will all be over..and I just don't know what to make of that.
Funny, last year I was afraid of what would happen to me if I didn't leave Pt. Loma.. now I am afraid of what will happen to me once I do leave Belmont...

Riverstages Review and Random Rantings...
So Johnny Lang's faces were funny, Wyclef Jean scared the pants off the sound guys when he decided to climb up the sound tower and toss the mic up and down, Fuel was terrible, Graham Colton's band is one of my new faves, Switchfoot was good, but they didn't perform my favorite song, Patty Griffin was wonderful, G. Love was cut short, The Stereophonics convinced me to get a CD, Fountains of Wayne was alright, the Foo Fighters were pretty cool and of course The Strokes Rocked... just in case any of you care.
So how was this week? Pretty hectic. I honestly can't believe that it's Friday already. Since thursday(aka:yesterday) i've had 2 juries (both awful, thanks for caring.) my piano proficiency (i passed wohoo) my conducting final (4 recits. and a choral # from The Messiah), and my Theory Final (gag me... a one page choral to analyze with 5 modulations, 1 of which I swear was almost unrecognizable... not to mention a figured bass piece to fully compose). Now all that's left is my Survey of Recording Technology final on Tuesday. Then I get in the car and drive home Wed. where I will do everything humanly possible to make money so that I can put gas in my car and buy books for summer school which begins June 1st at 8am. Boy, this summer sure looks promising.
Please pray that Rachel gets me the CD in time, and that I get an amazing phone call from Smiley.
I really really need this.... so is it too much to ask?
